CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
TECHNOLOGY, INVESTMENT, AND PEOPLE: BUSINESS SOLUTIONS FOR FOOD SECURITY

Anyone in the business and academic community is invited to submit original proposals for
Each proposal should be designated for inclusion in one of the specified tracks listed above.
For consideration of Papers and Posters, Track 1 or 2:
Authors must submit a 3 to 5 page abstract in English. Each abstract must contain the following: Cover Page; Problem Statement; Objectives; Procedures/methodologies/approaches; Results; Conclusions; References. Indicate through the track designation whether you prefer to present as a paper or a poster. Submissions will undergo a double blind peer review. The top research papers will be invited to participate to the Best Paper Award competition and may be selected for publication in the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review (IFAMR).
For consideration of Teaching Cases (Track 3):
The Symposium will showcase several agribusiness case studies that utilize the Harvard-Style teaching case method. Authors are asked to submit an abstract of 3 to 5 pages in English. Each teaching case abstract must contain the following: Cover Page; Industry and Setting; Learning Objectives; Teaching Notes.
Deadline Extension: Proposals for the academic symposium are still being accepted. Please submit papers or abstracts as soon as possible, this to prevent disappointment in case Symposium presentation slots fill up. Acceptance is based on a completely independent review process certifying academic quality, which functions on a first come first served basis.
February 28, 2017: Authors will be notified of acceptance into paper or poster sessions, or teaching cases. Upon confirmation of the intent to present, authors must register for the meeting in order to maintain the right to present at the Symposium.
March 15, 2017: Last day to submit full case or complete manuscript for Best Paper Competition or to be featured in the Teaching Case Study showcase.
May 1, 2017: Final paper is due to the organizers.
June 1, 2017: Final Program Schedule available online
June 18-21, 2017: Presentations scheduled. Most authors will present on Sunday June 18; there will also be academic sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 20-21.
