IFAMA, has joined forces with E Tipu: The Boma Agri Summit to bring the largest and most comprehensive primary sector conference to Aotearoa New Zealand on June 17 - 20, 2023.

The E Tipu IFAMA World Conference 2023 is set to support a greener future through sustainability in food and fibre, create a safer world through supporting initiatives for global health, increase connections throughout the Pacific region, and promote cross-cultural connections.

JOIN US IN CHRISTCHURCH FOR THE 33rd IFAMA WORLD CONFERENCE

The E Tipu IFAMA World Conference 2023 is designed to bring together people from across the global food system to explore these four themes: Transforming the Global Food & Fibre System.

1.  Farmers First: Showcasing farmers delivering on the bold ambition

a. Showcasing highly successful indigenous models of agriculture in Oceania
b. Resources for economic development

2.  Future First: Showcasing where the world is heading so we can get ahead of the curve

a. Secure and resilient technology and connectivity
b. Strategies to attract young people to the ag sector

Food, health, security, and safety issues

3.  Fibre First: Showcasing forward-thinking developments in fibre

a. New business strategies and technologies
b. 
Sustainable fibre usage and circular economy

4.  Food First: Showcasing powerful innovations in food production, distribution and consumption

a. Strategies to optimize value chain management
b. Entrepreneurship and innovation

Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference will occur on the campus of Lincoln University on June 17 – 18. The program begins with the academic Symposium featuring over 120 international scholars presenting their research papers on topics pertaining to the global food system. The Symposium runs in conjunction with our global Student Case Competition.

On Day 3 and Day 4 the conference moves to the Christchurch Town Hall and transitions to the 2-day Global Forum — Agri Summit featuring remarkable speakers from around the world who will share new insights and ignite vital conversations to shape the future. These two days will be packed with information on future farming trends, exponential change, new business models and product pathways impacting the food and fibre sector across Aotearoa New Zealand, and around the world.

The Forum also includes breakout panels and special Q&As, action-oriented workshops, innovative exhibits, cross-sector networking, a VIP reception, and a Presidential Banquet.

The day after the conference offers conference attendees a variety of Agri field trips that showcase local producers and ag innovations.

**The Presidential Banquet is included within the full 4-day conference registration fee. If you would like to bring a spouse or guest to the Presidential Banquet, you have an option to add it during the registration process.

STUDENT CASE COMPETITION TEAMS

** Each team member of the Student Case Competition must be an active member of  IFAMA. Students can join IFAMA for FREE until March 20. Learn more here: ifama.org/Student-Membership.  After March 20, students who are not IFAMA members may Join HereStudent memberships are $25 per person.
