  • CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
    Co-Editor-in-Chief (Incoming – North America/Europe)

The International Food and Agribusiness Management Association (IFAMA) invites applications for an incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review (IFAMR), a leading international scholarly journal dedicated to advancing knowledge at the intersection of food systems, agribusiness, and management. This recruitment reflects IFAMR’s transition to a Co-Editor-in-Chief model designed to strengthen the journal’s global reach and editorial capacity.

About IFAMR

Published through De Gruyter Brill Academic Publishing, the IFAMR serves as a vital bridge between academic research and industry practice. The journal distinguishes itself through its commitment to rigorous, relevant scholarship that addresses the complex challenges facing global food and agribusiness systems. IFAMR publishes original research employing sound methodological approaches that generate actionable insights for managers, policymakers, and industry leaders. The journal emphasizes clear, accessible writing that facilitates knowledge transfer across the food value chain—from production agriculture through processing, distribution, and retail.

In addition to peer-reviewed research articles, IFAMR publishes high-quality teaching cases that bring real-world agribusiness challenges into the classroom, strengthening the educational mission of IFAMA’s global community of scholars and practitioners.

  • The Opportunity

IFAMA seeks a visionary scholar to serve as incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief, with editorial responsibilities beginning in 2026 (a four-year term, June 2026 to June 2030). The two Co-Editors-in-Chief will hold formally equivalent standing. In practice, a senior/lead function is anticipated—particularly during the early transition period—given the incumbent’s greater experience with the journal’s operations.

IFAMR oversees approximately 200 manuscript submissions annually, with approximately 50 papers published across four quarterly issues. The journal also produces approximately two special issues each year, typically led by guest editors who bring expertise on emerging topics and methodological innovations.

The incoming Co-Editor-in-Chief will be supported by the existing editorial team, including Managing Editors who collaborate on the review process, reviewer selection and assignment, quality assessment, and editorial decisions. IFAMA provides an annual stipend in recognition of the Co-Editor-in-Chief’s scholarly service.
