Wikifarmer is a global platform with a mission to empower farmers through education. Wikifarmer publishes thousands of articles from agronomists, experts and farmers, which include agricultural best practices and how-to guides. It also offers farmers direct access to the commercial markets helping them to sell their products at fair prices.
Wikifarmer helps scientists disseminate their work and bring them closer to the practitioners. This effort has been recognized by the International Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, characterizing Wikifarmer’s Library as “The Wikipedia of Farming.”
