Program Description
The Food Industry Management specialization, offered by the Department of Agricultural Economics and the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, combines broad training in business with specialized training in the unique problems of managing food industry firms. This specialization provides a foundation level of skills for students who are interested in careers in the food industry but whose primary interest is in another field. The specialization provides these students with broad training in the business management skills required in the food industry, broadens their educational opportunities, and enhances their attractiveness to employers in the food industry. The Agribusiness Management specialization, offered by the Department of Agricultural Economics, combines broad training in business with specialized training in the unique problems of managing agribusiness firms.
