Biography
Maeve Henchion is Principal Research Officer and Head of the Department of Agrifood Business and Spatial Analysis within Teagasc (the Irish agriculture and food development authority).
Education
She holds a degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, awarded in 1991. She also has a Masters degree focusing on the marketing of Irish farmhouse cheese and a PhD which examined selected performance indicators relating to the Irish beef industry.
Research Interests
Dr. Henchion's research interests span the supply chain and usually operate at the interface between social science and the physical and life sciences. She is particularly interested in understanding consumer and producer evaluations of agri-food innovations and the workings of the innovation system which surrounds them.
