INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

IFAMA Fellows

You are invited to submit nominations for the 2025 IFAMA Fellows Award. Below you will find information on the selection process and nomination requirements.


Purpose of IFAMA Fellows

The IFAMA Fellow Award honors active members who have demonstrated distinguished achievement in food and agribusiness management. IFAMA’s fundamental goals are to:·      

  • Empower and bridge the gaps between research and business
  • Empower cross-generational sharing of knowledge, insight, and action
  • Empower true global diversity of thinking, international connection, and collaboration

The designation of Fellow is awarded to active supporters of the Association for their outstanding contributions to food and agribusiness management in at least two of the following categories:

1.     Innovative and Sustainable Management Practices

    • Senior leadership roles in food or agribusiness organizations
    • Demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution
    • Track record of successful organizational transformation or growth

2.     Research and Scholarship

    • Substantive contributions to food and agribusiness literature
    • Contributions to peer-reviewed journals
    • Innovative research methodologies or theoretical frameworks
    • Recognition through research awards or citations
    • Successful research grant acquisition and management

3.     Teaching and Leadership in Academic Program Development

    • Excellence in classroom instruction and curriculum development
    • Innovation in teaching methods and educational technology
    • Successful mentoring of students and junior faculty

4.  Service to IFAMA

    • Leadership roles on the Board of Directors or committees
    • Regular presentations at international and national meetings
    • Service as session chair, moderator, panelist, or discussant
    • Editorial contributions to the IFAMR Journal or other printed publications
    • Organization of conferences or special events
    • Development of initiatives that advance IFAMA's mission





Nominations for Fellows

Nominations must contain both a written statement that highlights the contributions made by the nominee in management and / or executive practice, research, teaching, academic program development, and service to the Association. Nominations should provide appropriate supporting evidence that may not be contained in the candidate’s vita. The recipient(s) will be announced during the 2025 Presidential Awards Banquet in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil.
